The Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre in Hanasaari

The Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre in Hanasaari promotes cultural exchange between Sweden and Finland in a wide range of fields. The centre holds around 30 seminars and courses every year. Themes include arts, education and research, current social issues as well as Swedish and Finnish history. Film evenings and lectures by visiting writers have proved particularly popular. The cultural centre is also involved in the organization of a variety of events throughout Finland.
The Hanasaari Cultural Centre is situated close to Helsinki on a peninsula of outstanding natural beauty. The centre has a large auditorium for 240 people, a library, conference rooms, an exhibition area as well as a restaurant and accommodation for guests. In addition to its own program of activities, the Hanasaari Cultural Centre hosts events for other event organizers.
