The Finnish Institute in Estonia

Soome Instituut

The Finnish Institute in Estonia fosters cultural relations between Finland and Estonia and covers all regions of Estonia. The two offices in Tallinn and Tartu are located in central downtown areas.

The institute organizes a variety of events throughout the country such as seminars, art exhibitions, concerts, literary evenings, academic meetings, courses and visits by guest artists. The events are held either in the institute's own premises or elsewhere in Tallinn and Tartu. The institute also provides a wide range of information services including a library, a reading room and computer facilities with internet access.

In Tallinn, the institute has a 40 person auditorium and a 10 person conference room. Both offices also have a library of Finnish literature and scientific books as well as Finnish and Estonian magazines and newspapers.
